8 Days Vietnam Culture Discovery Tour

DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL (MEALS: DINNER )

• Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your friendly tour guide and they will transfer you to hotel for check in.
• If possible, we will have a short tour in Hanoi and visit some nearby and poetic places like Restored Sword Lake and the Old Quarter of Hanoi with 36 ancient streets.
• Then we will have a friendly and warmly welcome dinner in a restaurant in the city before enjoying the Water Puppet Show – one of the most unique and valuable traditional art performances of Vietnam.
• Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR FULL DAY (MEALS: BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

• Enjoy  your breakfast at your hotel.
• 8.00: We’ll pick you up from your hotel take you to visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of the beloved national hero, Uncle Ho – and President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house where he lived off and on from 1958 to 1969. 
• 9.30: You’ll visit the One Pillar Pagoda, which is actually a group of structures that collectively make up a pagoda built over the water in the middle of a square lake.
After that, you’ll have a chance to explore the Tran Quoc Pagoda on the shore of west lake. From there, it’s onto the Temple of literature, which was Viet nam’s first university and is dedicated to Confucius. 
• 12.30: You have lunch at the restaurant in the Old Quarter.
• Afterwards, you’ll visit Hoan Kiem Lake – the heart and soul of Hanoi.
• Come back your hotel at 17.00.
• Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

 

OPTION 1: TUE, THU, SAT, SUNDAY
• You’ ll stop in at MUSEUM OF ETHNOLOGY. This superb museum showcases the depth of Vietnamese cultural diversity with an astounding collection of 15,000 artifacts gathered from throughout Vietnam. Maps, displays and dioramas are labelled in Vietnamese, French and English. Displays portray a typical village market, the making of comical hats and a Tay shamanic ceremony; videos show the real thing. You can also check out a traditional Black Thai house reconstructed in the museum. There’s also a centre for research and conservation where scientists from all over the world study traditional Vietnamese cultures. 

 

OPTION 2: MONDAY, WED, FRI
• Depart for Bat Trang ceramic village which is about 20 km away from Ha Noi, this is pottery village with a half- milleary historic development.
•15.30 – 16.00: Take the car come back your hotel.

DAY 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY TOUR – FLIGHT TO DANANG – HOIAN (MEALS: BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

• 7.45 – 8.15: Our car and guide will pick you up at your hotel (Hanoi Old Quarter) departure to Halong bay.
• 10.00: Have a short break about 20 minuttes
• 12.00: Arrive at Bai Chay, Halong Tourism harbour.
• 12.15: Start cruising to visit Ha Long Bay – one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, UNESCO World Heritage Site and have lunch on the cruise.
• 14.30: Visit Thien Cung Grotto – one of he largest and most beautiful grottoes in Halong Bay. Its structure is complex with different levels and chambers, which contain richly ornamented stalactites and stalagmites formed millions of years ago. Visiting Thiencung Grotto, tourists can enjoy interesting stories about the shapes of the stalactites and stalagmites closely connected to the Halong Bay legend of King Dragon.
• 15.30: Enjoy kayaking around floating village, wonder daily life of fishing men on the bay.
• 16:30: You will return to Halong tourist wharf and take the bus back to Hanoi.
• We drop you off at Hanoi airport for flight to Danang.
• On arrival in Danang, our driver will welcome you and take you to your hotel in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoian.

DAY 4: HOIAN CITY TOUR (MEALS: BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

• After breakfast, we will start our today tour by exploring Hoi An.
• Here, you can see many building in the narrow street have remained unchanged for more than a century besides tailor shops and numerous cafes.
• We will walk through the Ancient Quarter and feeling the classic in each houses and lanes. Then we will head to Chua Ong Pagoda, a famous pagoda in Hoi An.
• Next, continue to visit the Chinese Assembly Halls, the oldest among five Assemblies Halls in Hoi An with typical structure like a grand gate, a nice garden and a large altar room.
• To end our morning, we will peek into the 200 year old Tan Ky ancestral house and the Japanese Bridge.
• In the afternoon, we will have lunch before taking a short boat trip to a nearby island to visit a handicraft village specializing in ceramics.
• Finally, we will back to hotel and spend your whole night in Hoi An.

DAY 5: HOIAN – HUE (MEALS: BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

• Today we will move to Hue by passing over the Hai Van pass and stop at the scenic beach of Lang Co for a drink on the way.
• Upon arrival, we will explore another beautiful place in the Middle of Vietnam with the briefing tour of Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. The Citadel was built under the reign of Emperor Gia Long in 1805 and finished in 1832 under the sovereignty of Emperor Ming Mang.  
• Next, we will visit the Imperial Museum, a giant collection of bronze, pottery, court robes and personal belongings of former Vietnam Emperors.
• Lastly, we will feel the excitement of Hue in the Dong Ba market. Here, you can buy and try to taste many unique food that only be seen in the middle of Vietnam like Cao Lau, filter cakes… and many traditional product like Vietnamese traditional hat, Ao Dai…
• Overnight in Hue.

DAY 6: HUE – FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH (MEALS: BREAKFAST)

• Free until transfer to airport for flight to Saigon.
• Arrival Saigon, pick up and transfer to your hotel.
• Afternoon you will have a city tour visiting the Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace, Ben Thanh market.
• Rest of the day we suggest you tour Saigon’s down town with it’s many gift shops and galleries.
• Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

DAY 7: MEKONG DELTA TOUR (MEALS: BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

• Today we will start with the visit of Cai Be floating market. Here, you can see many wooden boats which play a role as stores where you can buy varying kinds of fruits and vegetables.
• Afterward, we may peek into a local workshop to learn how rice paste, coconut candy and pop rice are made.
• There is also a handicraft village nearby where you may see how the locals make rice-net for spring rolls, fish sauce and Soya sauce, sewing coconut leaves for cottage proof.
• In the afternoon, a delicious lunch will await you to enjoy at a 170 year old house.
• After lunch, we will travel around in a traditional rowboat and see the traditional wooden houses, palm trees and the daily activities of the local like fishing and picking up fruits in the Mekong Delta.
• The cruise will end at around 3.30PM in Vinh Long town. Then we will drive back to Saigon.

DAY 8: HO CHI MINH – DEPARTURE (MEALS: BREAKFAST)

 • Free time at your leisure, sightseeing, shopping, buy souvenirs, and take photos until depart to the airport for your onward flight.
